Don't like it, hit that back button and forget you've seen it, Because people are already going to post stuff like....

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH TRAINS??

Do me a favor, i've posted it for you, point taken..NOT!, NOW MOVE ON!

Now for my response

The good thing about ym relationship...hmmm....welll... Look i'm not going to lie to anyone. Valentines day sucks ***. It really does, single or not, I hate it, I'm already starting to turn to a grinch, but thats the way the ball bounces

Valentines day, has the exact opposite effect you want it to have on your relationship. Subliminaly it will distroy your relationship, because you are not aware of it. Valentines day benefits mostly women only, and look out, buy somehting too suggestive and you'll be quizzed what your trying to get out of the rel;ationship, buy somehting like a singing monkey, and you'll look cheap, Been in all those postions, can't stand any of them. Valentines day has absolutely nothing to do with love, It has all to do with how much money you can blow on your special person, which totally corrupts the point of this shotty day. If it was left in it's original state,. like the romans used to practice it or the medival people, then it would be fun, but corporations have corrupted it, so if your a guy, Single, and you hate valentines day, i'm with you.

What women should look for in men is someone who will sit their *** down and be a sympathetic listener, and I know.. it seems to be a dying breed. Most guys in school where there hat it funny positions along with jeans that are neevr pulled up right, A reminder... Most sensible women Don't find that attractive, unless your trying to get trash.

Men should look for the non gossipie type of female (No.. that wasn't a joke.. they do exisit, although i have no hard evidence) Same thing with men, What will prevail in your relationship and make it stronger is your ability to be a social person, and the fact that you interact and communicate well. Interaction and communication are the fundemental bulding blocks to a relationship. like a pyrmamid these make a strong base, Sex is at the tip.

Starting off your relationship with sex is like building a pyrmaid upside down... Did the Egyptians build the pyramids with the tip touching the ground and the base in the air? Maybe they did, but it didn't take long for those pyramids (relationships) to fail.

Thats why theres no proof of Upside-down pyraminds. Because they failed.

Hope i didn't come across to grinchie, sorry if i did.

Who cares, Kev......

I have been with the same girl for 1 year 9 months now. Sara and I have been through alot of stuff I would like to forget, but I can not. Sara is Caring, sweet and everything else I want in a girl

I'be been with my Girlfirend now 5 + Years, and havn't screwed up yet. She knos i Hate valentines day and would rather do nothinbg for it, and thats fine by her.. she didn't mind last year, or the year beofre, or the year before that... Not bad...

If she gave a shnootie, I suppose she would ahve left me the first Valenintes day

Actually it was yesturday i was given the speech "You don't HAVE the authority to break up with me" although i wasn't planning on it, and never will.

Whoever said i should buy her dimonds, yeah and a Rolex watch, and this and that... I already bought her her Louis Viuotton (whatrever his name is) Crap this christmas, spending a whopping 1K.

i'm still in recovery mode...

If christams wasn't so close, I would put a little more effort into this holiday. But Because JC was born Dec. 25th, and "fach-A-longue" valentine guy was FEb. 11th, they are too close, and i havn't recovered over spending that much money yet.

Well since you brought up the alternative couple......

And that Howell guy........If he was really that important....why didn't his sycophant yes men try to find him.....I think he was trying to get away....probably from UP's lawyers trying to sue him for using their logo on Howell's HO model trains....see how I deftly bring RRs back into it.......

So what you're saying is the Professor had the best of both worlds there...the wholesome all-American girl next door from a square flat state and the wicked red haired temptress from evil LA...cool...I should have stayed in school and got some smarts like him....

Mrs Addams was a hottie, I agree, in the dark, svelt, tempress kind of way....but on the other side Barbara Eden and that whole genie/harem thing.........that's what I'm talking bout.....

And while we're the subject....you gotta figure that the Professor and either Mary Anne or Ginger had a thing going...cause I find it hard to believe that a guy who could make batteries out of coconuts couldn't fix a boat.....he wanted to stay marooned the way I figure.......

Even the Mookie thought Ms Jones was a classy person and a very good actress - maybe two very good qualities in any special person?

yeah, Carolyn Jones was a hottie....but be careful!! Where do you suppose that wry grin on Lerch's face came from? [:-^]

I still say june cleaver is da bomb, with her "Oh, I could see you were having a bad day, so I skipped my bridge clubb and made you a Chateaubriand" - approach towards life.....

Though I'll have to say, if such were the case, the little Haskel kid would have to go,..i think he's got ideas..

June Cleaver was boring! And I don't think you are the boring kind!

Mook

Well, thanks,...I know you meant that as a compliment..[8D]

The "June Cleaver" stereotypical referance, however, is a sincere one, as it portrays a change in my thinking that came about after a particularly bad relationship.

Up to that point in time, I had chased after the "hotties", as it was all about me, my ego gratification,...I wanted a showpiece that turned other mens heads as we walked down the street, making them wonder how a dog like me EVER got so lucky, etc etc...then I realized that *that* was entirely the wrong shopping criteria, what I should have been looking for was the kinda woman who I would want for a 'mom" figure for "our" children...

I'm no Robert Redford, but I found that it is way easier to get a gal who measures up to the former specification, and way hard to find one who is "suitable" for the latter,...which came as a BIG surprise to me.

When I think back to some of the shrews I've played house with, the mere thought of any of them being the mother of my children makes me shudder... In the context of my never having had children with any of them, I count myself a lucky man. [:)]

Gentlemen: You don't have to "look" for a woman. She will find you.

Instead work on your side of the bargain. Make sure you are a person you like. A good relationship starts with you liking yourself. Then treat the opposite sex as you would want to be treated. And Mookie's first rule is never, never snipe, belittle or hit. Don't try to impress your friends by making fun of your special person. Respect, Respect, Respect! This should be your very best friend.

Just a thought on holidays... It's more fun when you *don't have to* do anything for it. For Feb 14, what kind of gift is it if it's expected? I can assure you the unexpected is much more fun.

What I want in a special someone is someone who's beauty is greater than that of a Pacific steam locomotive, and an Alco RSC-2, and as intelligent (or moreso) as I. (Whew! Back on subject!)

hhhmmmm... well, she'd have to accept that when we get a house, it will have to have a VERY big basement, and it's ALL MINE! Cooking will be semi-important... i can do it, but very very bad... being kinda vain, she would have to be attractive in my mind... well, i have a semi-broad view of attractive, atleast in my mind... well that's pretty much it

No, you don't sound grinchie....because to tell the truth I don't give much a *sounds a K-5 Airhorn to cover obsenity* about the 14th of February....actually, the closest I have to a girlfriend and I are getting together on the 21rst for the purpose of NOT celebrating the 14th! And I don't care about giving more money to *more airhorns* Hallmark! Oh yes, I'm going to give her a CD full of break-up songs! *hehehe*

However, I just thought I'd post this.....and there are all kinds of general messages here.....even if there shouldn't be. I like all your comments, Kevin, and you have a good pyramid analogy. Much better than the "tail wagging the dog" that's been used on almost everything, including (TRAINS content) Amtrak!

What do you want in a special someone? Or what's cool about your relationship?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 5:54 PM
Firstly, single men....what do you want in a woman? And single women......what do you want in a man?
And to those who are either married or just attached.....talk about what's cool in your relationship.

Ok, I'll get the ball rolling.....
what I want in a girl......
Someone with a warm heart, a good sense of humor, and the right attitude.
Musn't take life TOO seriously.
Must be a good person to share a conversation with.
I would like someone to share interests with...anyone who likes writing and/or music of all kinds would be prefered.
Of course, good hugs and kisses are a MUST!
Anyone with an attitude problem, a leaching attitude (keeps taking things), a desire to push her religion onto me, or siderodromophobia (fear of trains and train tracks) need not apply.
The most important beauty is the "inner beauty"....but as for outer looks....I find myself attracted more to darker hair colors. The current girl I fancy has a nice shade of brown as her hair color.

So....what do you all think?
Sebastian
