Snow on Rochelle web can lens
Posted by eolafan on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 7:27 AM
[%-)] Anybody notice that at 7:26 a.m. on Tuesday the Rochelle web can had a great big snowflake land on the lens, obscuring our view for a while. I was out there on my way home last night at about 7 p.m. and it was snowing like a B------D out there. On the other hand, perhaps the stuff on the lens was from a very cold and very lost pigeon on his way south. [^]

I wondered if local kids target the lens with snowballs

It either got warm enough to melt off or somebody cleaned it off. Looking pretty good from here.

Hey, the sun's shining out there! Better look quickly!

(Sorry...we've been a little sun-deprived these past few weeks. Now if we could just turn up the heat a little...)

Sharpen your snow shovel - it's a-comin' your way! Just as soon as we get done with it!

Thanks for the heads-up Mook, we will brace ourselves here in Chicago (I can say this as I am heading for Florida Thursday afternoon for a long weekend). Hey, I goofed and am writing on a non-trains related subject....slap my wrist with a wet noodle. Eolafan

Now - Dining cars notwithstanding, how railroady is a wet noodle? [:D]

Better to use a rolled up timetable.

Just leave the Guide on the table, thanks.
