The chat room mentioned at the top of the page has been replaced with http://www.brrm.net/chat
The new chat includes:
6 working smileys
You can make links
color text
other options

If you are interested, view http://www.brrm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44 for current chat times, or just go on and wait for someone!
(And yes, http://www.railchat.com is very good as well. I use both)
