I just talked with UP over the phone -- they told me that they won't be leaving St. Louis on Wednesday.

They're looking at getting out Thursday morning.

3895's a tease... =^)

Thanks for the update. May run over there at lunch for a look and see if any decisions have been made for departure...

3985 departure postponed once again....

...found out shortly after my arrival at the Auto Lot near Vandeventer and Chouteau Streets, that the 3985 Challenger continues with a few problems, and the departure was postponed once again this morning, the decision having been made around 6:45 am. It was not known whether the train will depart tomorrow morning, Wed, Jan 21st, or Thursday, Jan 22nd. The boiler problem seemed to be repaired, as the train was steaming quite well on my arrival at the yard at 7:00 am, however Mechanics were still making repairs to the locomotive in other areas, due to other problems was all they would say.
