I believe you're right, Train Boy, in that it was the first time that a AC4400 horsepower has gone through this part of the world. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it as I don't have a camera in my possession. I keep overlooking this fact.
Nelson is a beautiful in many ways. The lumber transload centre is being replace by a rock crushing site. I believe they will be hauling product out by train.

I think it was the first time ever but the Canadian Pacific Christmas Train came through Nelson, B.C. last night. They collected donations for local food banks in both Castlegar and Nelson. I took a friend of mine down last night just before the train came in at 7:30. He was quite impressed on the train was decorated
Did anyone else take in any Christmas Trains in their area?
