When you have nothing to loose (maybe a few screws) or do you mean lose- they are two different words

Ooooh.. that is my pet peeve...  is when that word is used in place of  "lose" .  I have seen that everywhere, including in one of my kid's video games. The screen says "You Loose" when he fails to achieve whatever the object of the game is.....  Unbelievable.

I read a bunch of car racing forums.  I always get a chuckle out of semi-intelligent folks on some of those forums calling each others loosers!  Conjurs up ads for Pepto-Bismol.Wink [;)]

Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.

My source was the video itself. You can tell by the track and passing trains that it's not one of those modern built high speed lines. There are very old signals at the station the guy gets on that are from steam train days. I'm a train buff, I look mostly at the trains and accessories, not the guy so much.

The part about the guy not dying was based on rumor.

Seems I was right all the way.

It strikes me as a weird irresponsible thing to do, you're just gonna hurt your freinds and family and perhaps any other witnesses if things go wrong.

Least we forget, back in the days before George Westinghouse invented railroad air brakes....Brakemen surfed the top of trains as their job.....tying on and releasing hand brakes to facilitate the movement of their trains.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Here is the safe practice way of train surfing.  If you must train surf, do it responsibly.

Hannau to Frankfurt is not one of the German High Speed lines ie purpose built 200mph maximum. According to my German Railway atlas the maximum speed on that stretch is up to 100mph (which is hardly slow I admit, but not 330kph (= 200mph) the speed quoted in the "news" article referenced above. Distance is a little under 15 miles, though he does seem to have got off before Frankfurt-am-Main Hauptbanhof, so it may be a little less.

Train surfing is kind of like hoboing on steroids.  He said he had to monitor the pressure of the vacuum lifing device that he was hanging onto.  He did not say what he would do if the device lost its grip on the glass.  Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket.

Interesting. I wonder why he broadcast that on TV, because wouldn't he be afraid of getting arrested or something?

The lunacy of the event notwithstanding, I wonder how long before we read about someone getting hurt trying that on the accella...

This video is lying, the guy didn't die.

This is a high speed German train , but not on a high speed line. The signals at the station are of semaphore trype wich makes me doubt it's realy HSR.
