Make sure you get in as early as you can so you can get seniority. If they are hiring 1000 guys you wanna be one in the first one or two hundred hired if possible. Don't want to be near the last of a few thousand guys hired the same year. So get an interview as soon as possible and try to get in first time. Don't be discouraged by what people say, if it is bad you can always quit, but your seniority makes the difference in holding good or bad jobs.
I'm sure it won't be hard to get on as one of the last hired for the year.

The word i recieved is that the union pacific is going to hire 1,000 men this year. the only requirment is that you have common sense. they will teach you the rest. and brainwash you into what they want.
