i see a lot of locals stuff floating around during the day and long-haul freights, but a lot of the long-haul freights i see aren't on the ROW used by Amtrak during the day... but then the speed advantage of the passenger trains is lost if they're constantly blocked by freights

I would like to know when it is scheduled to run also. It was my impression it would run on the NEC at night when it wasn't otherwise busy with passenger trains. A year ago I did see two NS intermodal freights cross the Susquehanna around 8:30 or 9:00 AM, one was eastbound the other was westbound but that was rare to see intermodals on the NEC between Baltimore and Perryville that early (or late) in the morning.

Mike ,

Sorry I don't. I have come across some general Amtrak photo sites. Here's one that I found.
http://www.hebners.net/amtrak/

They seem to be in the middle of moving the site. There are some nice photos of the amtrak stations as well as locos (Acela).

I also just watch the live action everyday. I work in Wilmington across from the amtrak station. I have been looking for that daily NS Intermodel train that Trains mag showed this month, but no luck yet.
