TRAINS Book Question-Shortline Guide
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 8, 2004 10:29 PM
When, if ever, might we see a new edition of the American Short Line Railway Guide by Ed Lewis? The last Edition I am aware of was the 5th circa 1996.

Funny thing is I was thinking the same thing today and was going to ask this. There have been many changes to the shortlines since the last book and it would be a great way to get updated on who's who in shortlines.
Also, any word on a new Train Watchers Guide to North American Railroads, I think volume 3? ALOT has changed since the last printing, they still list BN and Santa Fe seperate, which would put it pre-95 or so.
Would love to see both guides soon.

I agree, much has happened in the last almost ten years.

Thank you, I'll get a letter out monday. Let me suggest that all the others who have brought this subject up here and elsewhere do likewise.
