MILAN -- A man suffered minor injuries when his car was struck by a train at the intersection of Andalusia Road and 11th Street in Milan Tuesday night.

Milan police Officer Shayne Glynn said the man was heading north on 11th Street toward Andalusia Road, known as 10th Avenue in Milan, when his black Honda Prelude was hit. "A train was backing up," Officer Glynn said, adding that the train was heading east to Rock Island when the accident occurred. He said police were called about the accident at 7:45 p.m.
