I don't think that winds are really a problem, they couldn't add that much friction to the cars considering the kind of curves already in place! I'd be more worried about the Canadian temperatures freezing the trainline and light snow getting everywhere...remember, trains, much like the post, run in any kind of weather Wink [;)]

This one is off the top of my head. But has the weather around Lake Superiour, especially in winter, have had any adverse effect on how Canadian Pacific schedules their frieght trains along the lake shore? I imagine some of the high winds must have an effect with rail cars.
