They had the distinctive high mounted Southern nose bell. Some of these, I believe, later on ended up on the C&NW after rebuilding as SD-18's. Somebody else with a better knowledge of the subject can jump in here and correct me on this. Anyway, we're talking late 1970's-early 1980's. <br /> <br />John Timm
