It says that their shipments may be vulnerable to theft or destruction. You never see this on trucks do you?

George
Thank you! your statement is so true. Just yesterday I saw 5 NEW Railbox Box cars and already one of them was TRASHED[V]!
BNSFrailfan.
Dont feel so bad. Here in Fond Du Lac,Wi,every CN train I see that heads through here , I usually see a few cars that are clean, yet 99% of the consist is all tagged up with grafitti. I remember back in the late 1980's,when I lived in Southern California, a kid was caught putting the word "Choca" on somewhere between 1,000-to 5,000 rail cars, most belonging to the Southern Pacific Railroad. Needless to say,the kid admitted to doing this, and had to repaint ALL the cars that he vandaled, and the parents got billed for $10.000.00,which included all the troube he caused. It is true though that when a shipper sees this stuff on a rail car, I'm sure it makes them wonder if their product will be safe. I'm surprised that there has not been any grafitti on the Oshkosh military trucks that are on the flat cars, since these are open to all elements of what not. There are no tarps or anything to cover these pieces of equipment, let alone other heavy pieces of equipment from Caterpillar,John Deere,Case, and the other builders of such equipment. You figure that someone would protect this stuff, but alas it is not the case. It makes a person wonder if a company really gives a [censored] about their product.
