Good movie now on DVD

I think the main problem is that alot of the old movies are now out of print on VHS (yuck) and have yet to be printed on DVD. Really the thing is all of the studios that own the rights to those movies shot themselves in the foot by putting most of those out on Laser Disk, but then it died so now they have been waiting until they know that DVD is going to be here to stay. Since DVD has now taken the market over all of the old stuff is coming back, but until then if you really want an old B&W movie the way to go is Laser Disk (they are dirt cheap on E-bay), that is the only way that I am able to find half of the old movies that I want.
