Those DODX cars have a tare weight of over 135K pounds and load limit over 370K pounds for a total weight on rail of 506K pounds.

Looking at the leaves on the locomotive steps and the tree movement as the train passes by, they need to do some tree trimming on that line!

Seeing as it was going to Portsmouth, it probably was for refueling a nuclear attack submarine.

The yellow  USN  shuttle loco is very interesting starting at the 3:00 point.  Notice the small guide rail wheels.  Those large tires should make it easy to cross over any tracks.  Wonder if that could be a good loco  for quicker movements between various tracks ?

It would be interesting to see the Freight Bill for those shipments.

Your standard "trackmobile".  It's a big one, but many industries have them.

Doesn't look like anything Trackmobile offers. Or Shuttlewagon.

Anyone knows who makes it?

Edit: nevermind, I watched the video again.  Boss Railcar Movers.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Yeah, I was going for the concept.
