But we can patrol the borders more than is done now. There was an article a while back about the Park Rangers not being able to patrol the national parks because of a shortage of manpower. The national parks have become unsafe at night and the Park Rangers lack the ability to protect campers there. The article made it sound like guns, drugs, illegal aliens, and violence were commonplace. There is strength in numbers but right now the "numbers" are for law and disorder. I am not trying to spread gloom and doom but we must protect our borders much better or face another cowardly attack. The world has become not only crazy "over there" but is getting that way here. The time to do better is now, not tomorrow. It can be done with electronic sensors to monitor an area and if triggered then police or military could be dispatched quickly by helicopter and or 4 wheel drive vehicles. Where would we get the manpower and money? We have people out of work all over the country. And we certainly could stop sending so much of our money overseas and invest it here in our own security. If we can put a man on the moon, we can protect our borders better. That is IF we really wanted to.
