All I see is a test of a simple LIM. At least we know (from the test and the little CGI clip) that the concept is just LIM powered vehicles, and not some more exotic method of propulsion as discussed extensively a couple of years ago.
I suppose for people too young to remember the '60s a test of a LIM is exciting new technology. I guess the next step is to put together those sections of tubular 'guideway' and run the mule through that to see what develops. I remain relatively unconvinced that the tube part of it is really that necessary...
