I belive someone posted what railroad was better to work for "UP or BNSF" a few post back. What about the IOWA Interstate or IMRL and DME. Wich one of these railroads treats there road crew's better? Wich one has better bennifits and doesent lay off new hires?
Dont want to start a flame war just curious because i want a carrer as a trainmen on some railroad, just keeping my options open.
Thanks.

Well to start off most railroads lay off people when buisness gets slow becouse its a senority based system. Second I work on the DM&E and while the whole coal line thing and I&M purchase sound great dont expect management to pay you like a class one would. Sure they talk to you like your there best buddy and then ya turn around and all that they said to ya a minute ago never happend. They even are trying to get rid of our senority rights to place on jobs.
