Sure, that would be great but short of that Trains should ask the prospective advertiser/vocational school for "some numbers.. how many applicants, how many graduates, and how many graduates went on to employment with a railroad" since that is the info th e school is supposedto provide to the FTC and accreditation bodies.

So, if a company runs an ad touting the planned release of this kit, or that engine, Trains is supposed to investigate as to whether the release is really planned, or if maybe it's just a feeler to guage interest?

If the advertiser has a record of complaints, then questions should be raised, and maybe the advertising refused.  

But if there is no such record, and an advertiser doesn't make any claims, other than the offer of this service, or that product, that leaves Trains with having to investigate every single advertiser.  And since the advertising section probably serves all of the Kalmbach magazines, that's a pretty daunting task...

No, that is not what I have been saying.  Vocational schools have a high rate of fraud.  That is a given.  All Trains has to do is require a prospective vocational school advertiser to submit the records they are required to keep showing the info I mentioned before.  Got it?  Not rocket science.
