I am looking for internal drawings of the motive compartment of a GP-9. Any help would be appreciated.

I do have a book on the "Union Pacific 1977-1980" by George Cockle. It does show some internal drawings, though not very good. There is a photo though of the internal part of the unit,in clear format.I'd be glad to send you a few copies, then if you want more,I'll see what I can come up with.Model Railroader did an article on the GP 9 in the December 2002 issue.Hope this helps.

I have a full detail print of a GP-9 hanging on my wall. I got it a few years ago from Simmons-Boardman Books (publishers of Railway Age Magazine). I'm sure you could get one too. Check their website at www.transalert.com. According to the site it sells for $9.50.
