Go to Dolton Junction in Dolton, IL for one of the hottest railfan spots in the USA. I saw 37 trains from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Many times 2 and sometimes 3 trains passed through the junction at the same time. <br /> <br />Dolton is a gritty suburb south of Chicago. The area surronding the junction is by no means picturesque. However, it is right next to Dolton police station. I had no fears for my safety when I wsa there.
