Automatic Train control of 1920's

  • My grandfather was inventor.  Had inventions patented.  Was involved in patent infringement suit in 1931-1932.  Looking for any persons with knowledge of this case, George W. Gerlach vs. Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway company.  Any help would be great  :)

  • tHE CASE WAS FILED IN iOWA AND WENT THROUGH AN APPEAL PROCESS.  mY GRANDFATHER LATER TOOK THE MATTER TO A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE STATE OF IOWA who in TURN took it before Congress as a bill for payment and it is recorded in the Congressional Record, and He took it to another Representative from the State of Minnesota who in turn took it before Congress as a bill for payment and I am still researching this.  He pursued this matter up into his late 70's.  Any information puts another piece together in this "family" puzzle.  Thanks.
