    From Train-sim.com
  • What is it saying when you try to load the engine, or can't you find the engine at all when trying to make a consist. Didn't it have a cabview and sound when you downloaded it.?

    Yea it had everything.
  • Yea it must be a corrupt file, because if it had everything all you would have to do is put it in your trainset file., and then go to activity editor and make a consist. When searching for it under diesels (activity editor) it may have another name or a name that would throw you.
  • Im having trouble getting my UP F unit set to work as well as my UP speeder.

  • I don't think it is a bug. All of my SD60M files don't work. And I don't think ahty are all curropt.

  • Maybe the files that were uploaded to the server in the first place were corrupt....
  • Try downloading it from train-sim.com. Where do you get yours from?

  • I still don't understand what is happening. Is the locomotive not showing up in the consist editor? If you have Route Riter, run the locomotive checker utility and it will often fix the problem. Or, if you have Conbuilder, if there is a problem with the locomotive, it will tell you and give you hints on what is wrong there.

Just to be sure, you did put it in a consists, right? It will not show up in the available loco list if you don't.

Just thinking off the top of my head now. Be sure you are looking under the correct name. I don't know which SD60m you have, but it could list under CSX, SD60M, the designers name, the locomotive number, etc.

I don't think it is a corrupt file. You would not have been able to open it.

I would reread the install read me file. Some of the downloads have an extra step (there have been a bunch recently that require a file from Maple Leaf Tracks for the shape file). No file, no loco. Those also sometimes require editing the names (and sometimes the content) of files.

If worse comes to worse, try emailing the designer who uploaded it. You will usually get some assistance if you are nice about it.
