For those of you who are familiar the Wheeling & Lake Erie railway company, can you please tell me how long the 6 EMLX SD90MAC-HII units will be on their system. I saw them on Friday at the "Brittain Yard" in Akron at quarter to 8 in the morning. Then I saw one again on Saturday night - 5/12/07 at the same yard at around 11:30 at night. My friend, Mike Rujak saw EMLX 8524 leading a freight train at Wellington, OH on the 9th and a CSX employee saw two of them in the lead of a coal train at Greenwich, OH on the 10th.
Now apparently these six units will be operating on the Wheeling & Lake Erie system for 30 days until their lease contract expires. After this occurs, W&LE will have the option to buy the units or continue leasing them or send them away. What I want to know is how much longer will they be on the W&LE, if you know, what are W&LE's plans for these units in terms of buying or leasing or sending away and if anyone knows, where will they be on certain times. Like - do they run specific trains on certain days from certain places?
