    Went with the BN on the golf Course. That's something you don't see everyday, a UP train with the "commin' at ya" look, is something I see alot on the internet already.

    Finally! One I don't have to agonize over. Eric's shot is better hands down. The various shades of green and the patterns of stripes in the grass and the nose of the loco are just too much to resist.

    La Crosse, Wisconsin is not too much better off than Rochester, NY (my home) about this time of year. Spring golf and trains! It just doesn't get much better!
    Whether your life is good or bad, trains will make it better!

    Richard A said exactly what I was going to say. The patterns on the course and on the noses really ties the two compleatly different subjects together. That is just too cool, too cool, too cool. A+ to Erik!

    Even tho I got real sick of BN green & black on thousands of GP-38's when I used to live up in the rain (Western Washington) I gotta vote for Eric's composition, green & black on a golf course with the lawn mowing pattern showing tracks heading off into the woods. Great shot! Larry, now of Las Vegas.

    Even though Erik's shot had some interesting patterns, I just didn't care for the overall composition. I think its because the locomotives are too centered in the picture; its like they were out of place.

    Mike's shot was a kind of classic train shot. I liked the perspective of the train, so I went with Mike this time.

    Erik got my vote even though I thought Mike's picture would poll best with the die-hard rail fans that participate in this contest. It has everything a fan could want including that low joint on the left. Nice job Erik against tough competition!

    Eric, you have my vote because many moons ago my son,wife and I sat near this spot having lunch in the dining car of Empire Builder while on a tour of USA via Amtrak Sleeper Car. We were stuck because of an accident ahead. After too long and with my retirement I have picked up the Model Hobby again. Glad to be aboard.

    Even though I am a big UP fan.. & the fact that I cant stand golf at all... I HAD to go with your shot Erik... as the others stated.. the greens of the grass & the Loco's... the patterns etc.. all of it together added up to a very pleasing shot.. not to take away from Mike's mind you.. most any other time I'd of went with his.. but not this time..

    I like Mikes photo of BNSF, in middle of golf corse, Fine Photo & who would ever thought of A mian lines & GOLF CORSE> & THANKS>
