AW NUTS Train Magazine

  • Hi there. I'm looking for any old issues of AW NUTS Train Magazine. It was a magazine for builders of crazy/zany models. I think it stopped publishing sometime in 2003 or 2004. So far I have searched e-Bay, Amazon and Alibris without any success.

I am specifically looking for this crazy artist who would draw these incredible pen & ink wacky train illustrations, but I have forgotten his name. So any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated - either old magazines or the names of any train artists who draw humorous illustrations. Thanks!

  • Check old issues of Garden Railways (pre Kalmbach Publishing) I believe that the cartoonist drew for them also. You would have to look back ten years or so. geoff
  • About 10 years ago I recieved several issues of this mag. in the mail for free.It was full of fanciful, zany and crazy models. it was really fun to read[:)].
Ride Amtrak. Cats Rule, Dogs Drool.
  • I recently found an old add for subscriptions to the mag.  It has a picture of the magazine Vol 4 No 1with a cartoon on the cover of the mag with wording "Two One-Track Minds: The cartoon Genius of Fontaine Fox and Rowland Emett".

In type below the picture of the magazine cover with that phrase is source identification "Cover Cartoon by Big Wayne Gravelle".

No idea if this may be the name you are looking for
