I had to vote for the C&O. The reason why I really miss this railraod is for their short lived but, excellent locomotives the Alleghenys and the Northerns. This is one of the main reasons why I like CSX.
My second favorit is the PRR. My poor great grandpop would kill me for saying the C&O is my favorit fallen flag. He used to work for the PRR, and didn't care too much for C&O However, I didn't like the New York Central and PRR merger.
LORD HELP US ALL TO BE ORIGINAL AND NOT CRISPY!!! please? Sarah J.M. Warner conductor CSX

Since you only listed Eastern railroads,I vote for the Standard Railroad of the World[:D]! Pennsy is my favorite Eastern road.I love the GG1s, And I think that Pennsy steam was beautiful. I really liked the Belparie(sp?) firebox on PRR steamers. My overall favorite is Southern Pacific,as can be seen by my username[8D].
Ride Amtrak. Cats Rule, Dogs Drool.

PRR has long been a favorite with me, but I like the others also. The GG1 and the K4 are my favorite engines.
Enjoy
Paul

Of course you meant favorite EASTERN fallen flags. For me that would be the LV. But nation wide, I'd have to say Northern Pacific.

Pennsy!
Think Horseshoe Curve
Think Broadway Limited
Think "Standard Railroad Of The World"
Think of my great-grandfather who came west to Ohio from Pittsburgh to work for PRR
But I do miss all the others that touched my corner of the world
long, long, short, long.

Oh, this one again?!
My stock answer to this question the first two hundred times it's been asked on this forum already is:
"My signature line should give you a clue." [|(]
"Paul [Kossart] - The CB&Q Guy" [In Illinois] ~ Modeling the CB&Q and its fictional 'Illiniwek River-Subdivision-Branch Line' in the 1960's. ~
