Favorite Fallen Flag Railroad

  • My favorite railroad was the Former Delaware Lackawanna & Western railroad. Although they couldn't match the other railroads in Miles of track owned, they could still make their railine as straight and level as possible. It was just such a unique railroad.

  • None of those listed my favorite fallen flag was the GN followed closely by the AT&SF.

  • The Wabash is the favorite, also the IT. I guess it is time to admit that the N & W is also a fallen flag. CBQ_Guy, do you count the M&IB&B as part of the Q, or is it a fallen flag of it's own?

    I miss ALL the Fallen Flags;C & O just sticks with me more than most.
    When you 'grow' up around towns named 'Raceland,Russell,Ashland,Huntington"
    you develop an affection for the area,and other things that are around in the
    same area.

    Being Crazy,keeps you from going "INSANE" !! "The light at the end of the tunnel,has been turned off due to budget cuts" NOT AFRAID A Vet., and PROUD OF IT!!

  • Locomutt has it right! I miss all of them, too. I'm a west coast guy, though, and my favorite will always be the Southern Pacific.
