old train question

  • i have obtained two boxes of trains. 1 has a american flyer model 1337 the oriental in it and the other is a box of metal buildings with the name haener on it . it also has a lionel multivolt transformer with it . the instruction sheet has a copyright of 1928 on it can anybody tell me something about this set and if it is of any value. the box is a little worn but buildings and train are in very good condition . the engine says number 3112 on it and the cars are post office car , paul revere car and lexington cabbose.

  • Check with hobby shops in your area. Also check on RR clubs, if you haven't already. Next stop is the ads in the model RR mags - MR and RMC. Finally, do a search on-line.

    To the right person, they are probably worth plenty, assuming they are in good shape.
