Where can I find local maps?

  • I live in the York Pa area and am looking for any maps of the local railroad(s). I know this area was part of the Conrail system and I have an overview of the Conrail system but I am looking for a more detailed local map.

If anyone can give me sugestions I would appreciate it. If the internet is sugested please include specific site addresses. Thanks.

  • MAPQUEST.com also has arial photos of the country (unless you look for military installations) I've looked at my local yard on mapquest.
  • You might try the DeLorme Gazetteer. I have them for four different states. It shows all railroads, even abandoned lines. Well worth the cost.
