TEEN RAILFAN PLACE-LET'S TALK TRAINS! Thread Locked

  • Richard - Yes, that's an SD70M Alec was in. I love the cabs of those. [:)]

Thanks, Chris! I don't have my drivers licence yet, but I will be getting it in January. [;)]
  • Hi Guys

Matthew, I sure wi***he free forums would come back up. I have some stuff to post there when they do. [;)] But you already know most of it anyway.

    Hey Nick [:)]

Look up the profile for David3. He lives in your area and maybe you two could hook up and railfan together. It is always nice to have someone to go with when railfanning. [;)] He doesn't have aim but we email each other from time to time.

Well for those of you with AIM see ya there. [:)] [8D]

  • Nick, Sounds like you had an awesome day railfanning! I know the feeling of a day like that, getting up early, getting to a place shortly before the sun comes up, and not getting home until close to when the sun sets. I haven't done it nearly as many times as I wish I could. Neither of my parents are big into trains, although they will take my for a few hours out railfanning, but they don't like to go railfanning all day like I do. But thankfully I've found another guy from a near by town that likes to go on longer trips, and so I'm going with him places. Hopefully if it's sunny at least one day over Christmas break Were going to head out somewhere along the Mississippi river, either up towards LaCrosse or down to Dubuque.

I got another Locomotive DCCized, I finnished adding a decoder last night. It's the first one I've done totally myself, and I'm proud of it. Now to just do more!

I'm going to get out of here guys, I've got to go do some more work on the module.

  • Hi Jim. [:)] I sent David an e-mail. I agree that it's cool we live in the same area. Joliet is a great place to watch trains! Thanks for referring me to him.

Hi Noah. I love those days where you railfan from sunrise to sunset. [:)] I will be doing that a lot over Christmas Break. Tomorrow is my last day! [:)]

    Take care everyone.

    Nick

  • Nick, Thanks much for the compliments on the photo. I’ve been trying to get that shot on for a few months, since I first took it. I finally gave up a few months ago, but I saw it in my files again today and I decided to resubmit it.

I’ve only got two days left myself, we get out Friday. I’m looking forward to it, between model railroading, trains, and a Packer game, I plan on having a jam packed and fun holiday break!

Made a little more progress on the module tonight. I’ve got the plans drawn up for the first of two buildings I want to scratchbuild, and I’ve got a little more work on the fascia done. Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday I can start plastering.

Back on the topic of hair, Dock_661 is absolutely right, and I will dig up something that I said in the "SHOW YOUR SELF" thread. Aha!

As you can see, I have made the same remark!
So today I finally saw the "All your base" flash, and then looped it for a couple hours until my parents came in and unplugged the computer just now. I also had a couple of really hard core light switch raves in tehre!

I have recently noticed something obvious about forums...if you post a topic you will get a good reply with all the information you need, and then a bunch of other replies from people who just want in on it. I have been on both ensa of that! And all sides! I feel great when I am the one to get the answer first!

Well, off to bed, will be back a bit early tomorrow, I have a spare last thing and since I have the option not to go to tech, I'm not going!
