  • Alright, guys. I'm back! Wow, has it been a while since I last posted here. OK, to catch up.

First of all, I respect Bergie's decision to lock the older topic. It was a mess in there and it would have taken way too long to clean up and to get it situated. Starting a new section, like we have done, is the best way to go. I will contribute here often.

I hope nobody has forgotten about CTRG. Yes, I know that it's been down for weeks. The phpBB forums have been offline for a while. I am going to send them an e-mail. When the forum comes back up, I will send out a mass e-mail. I apologize for all the inconvenience over at CTRG.

The CP Holiday Train was awesome! As always, I had a lot of fun! Chris and Noah, I saw your photos of them and they were excellent. Great job! Mine didn't make them into Railpictures, but that's okay, I still had a lot of fun!

I've done a lot of railfanning lately. I've seen a lot. Here are all of my photos at Railpictures: http://www.railpictures.net/members/photostats.php?userid=3955

Yesterday, I saw UP 3300, the "Pulling for United Way" one of a kind engine! I got news that it would be running down the Geneva Sub. My best friend's dad came to pick me up at 4:45 A.M. and off we were! Our first stop was Rochelle (lots about Rochelle on this website, including the webcam!) at about 5:45 A.M. It was still pitch dark outside. We were driving through town on our way to the Railroad Park and the gates went down. We were all thinking it was a regular UP train (definately not the United Way!) and what do you know? It was the United Way flying by! What were the chances of that? We then chased it to DeKalb (about 25 miles east of Rochelle). We made it about ten minutes ahead of him at DeKalb. I got a video of him there off of my digital camera. Then we chased him all the way to Elmhurst Station (where he would end his trip at Proviso Yard about a half mile from Elmhurst Station). We made it a good twenty minutes ahead of him there. More fun, we saw a train with three SD40-2's. One was a patched CNW with the patch on the front ripped right off! It read "CNW"! Oh yeah! [:)][8D] They really started to smoke it up departing Proviso. Tons of white smoke filled the air making it so that was all you could smell. The sound was excellent! About ten minutes after he came through, came UP 3300, the "Pulling For The United Way"! He sure looked great! Trailing that beautiful one of a kind engine were a pair of UP SD40-2's and a UP GP15-1. It was a very fun day! We then came home. After a while, we went out again. We saw some BNSF trains and it was a lot of fun! [:)]

Today, I went train watching again after school. It was a bright and sunny day. I took my scanner with me as always. We heard the DS call in BNSF 2646 which is a Bluebonnet GP35. After about twenty minutes, here he came! Trailing him was another GP35, this one was an H1. The very nice sound of two GP35's came by providing a very nice sound! [:)] It was the local. ATSF Santa Fe Caboose #784 was at the end! [:)]

Have a good night all! [:)]

    Nick [:)]
  • OK, I've been lingering because I really have nothing to say...plus, I'm getting a bit emo lately, with all these things dragging me down....quick, hide the razor blades! Now that Nick had given me something to say, I think I can start.
I saw the CP united way unit a little while ago, can't remember the exact number, but I htink it might be 9157. It was a mid train hleper in a pota***rain. CP has one unit on the head end and 2 in the middle of those.

Well, I'll probably have more ta say later, but for now I'll be watching...

So I still have 4 days of school left, not looking foreward to that....in english, my mark has gone up 25% since the last time I saw it! All that hard catching up is working! It is now all of 45%, almost a pass! Unfortunately, I have not improved that much in Physics..but on the bright side, I now have 10 MSNM contacts NOT from trains.com or railroadforums! And I have met a girl I can talk to! On the dark side (Of the moon)(not really) remember that girl i have said things about? Well, I met her boyfriend today, and I don't think he likes me...that's OK, because he has cheated on her. Who would do that? She's hot, and she....*innapropriate content deleted* back on the tracks now...anyways, the main point is I feel quite alone.

I got the Christmas lights up today, that was fun...clinging to a tipped metal ladder in -10 wearing a t-shirt and sandals attempting to get the lights to look good, a hard task.. And it doesn't look good.

  • So Matthew, you are posting the Trivia today, right?
  • Richard! GET A HAIRCUT!!! seriously, go to your barber and ask him/her to give you someting that looks god. That's how I got my new haircut. You're not that bad, but there is still room for improvement. Aww, I'm so bitter now!
Well, here's my contribution. The photo is almost 3 years old, but it's the only good one I've got, I'm not photogenic. At all. You should see my shots from Grease!

There ya go! Creston B.C., may 2003. We found sperry car 129 idling and filling up on water.
And yes James, I'll be taking Trivia tonight, with my own question!

Gee, I dunno- how about the "once teens now adult railfan place" [:D][:D][:D]

Oscaletrais- you have a speeder? that is awesome. Do you plan or are you a memer of a speeder club?

Hello, I have a lot of homework to do, so I can stay just a bit.

Richard- sorry I havent been here much, I have 5 + hours of homework each nite these days, so I am at a loss for time. I will be on more in 2 days- cause thats when my Christmas break starts!!![:D][:D][:D][:D]

And if you guys think Richard has long hair, wait till you see my hair, it is even longer!!! I look like one of the BEATLES (you know , the band?) I will also show some of my latest railfanning pics when I have the time.

And Alec, yes, I went and looked at your album.

Nick- Congrats on you sighting. I wish I could go railfanning as often as you!!! You have a drivers's liscence, right? I bet that helps[;)]

gotta go guys, seya later [:)]

  • Of course we know the band! And who said anything about shorter hair? Yeah, I don't think you'd look especially good with short hair...but I'll stop now. It's jsut that a complete and total lack of fmale friends is dragging me down...
Well, today I went with the otehr theatre types to see Treasure Island, it was great, but most of the audience was a bit young. The theatre is a block away from the tracks, and I saw CP 5868, a SD40-2 with small multimark. Yay! Now hopefully I can go to a friend's house, I am getting quite bored.
