  • It looks like a Rail Grinder ran the Red Signal and plowed right in to the BNSF Stacker!
    BNSFrailfan.
  • the Rochelle cam has distorted shapes on the face of it. hard to figure out what is happening. Does anyone -or has anyone herd- what is really happening there? I see some officials walking around but if it is moisture on the lens face, it is really hard to make out.
  • would anyone out there know how to back up the cam and see the wreck firsthand? and what time did it happen? also- where are the trains being rerouted to?
  • well the moisture is snow and the grinder appears to have run the red light and knocked some of the semi trailers loose from the cars closing down the tracks all i can tell you it is going to be along night as this is in my back yard and throw a rock and hit the cam you are looking at from my porch it is that close
  • Hello, The train hit a railroad worker truck. A UPS train car that was stacked double high tipped over causing packages to go flying all over. Nobody was hurt.
  • As I understand the UP rail grinder hit the BNSF train maybe running the signal
thankfully no one got hurt just caused a big mess and delayed many crews from getting home and going to work. I work for the UP and I'm sure they will be doing all that is possible to rectify this problem in a timely manner. On behalf of the railroad SORRY for any inconvience this may have caused. Thanks to all who showed geniune concern.......Railroading 4 a living
  • well we know pretty much how it happened. Any idea as to why. Obviously the grinder was not paying attention but why?
  • we are planning on visiting the diamond on Friday of this upcoming week. I know that the place is busier than all heck at night around 8 to 10Pm but how about in the morning? It is a 3 hr ride from Madison and it would be fun to take in some action in midmorning. Any info from anyone out there?
