  • #1. I really like that shot.

  • Photo #2 at first seems ordinary while the lighting in #1 gives it a moody flavor. However, getting a nicely exposed shot in the contrasty conditions of sun-on-snow is what swayed my vote to #2.
  • All I can say is that rules were made to be broken and Photo #1 does this well. [:p]
  • Hi All,[:)]

I say PHOTO # 1 As you can some grant in the early morning Photo [8D]
and as for UP spoils the photo with overpowering it[:o)]

Cheers to Erik & Mike,Keep up the Good Work[bow]
and a Great Day to one and all[:D]

  • While photo #2 seems more "technically impressive" (lighting and sky/cloud/snow detail are stunning), I slighly prefer the more dramatic composition of photo #1. The fallen flag non-widecab SD leading stacks is the tip-in. On the other hand, the big power consist on what I assume to be an Adams Line manifest is also interesting subject matter. But they're both very good and it took me a bit of contemplation to decide.
  • Well, I love the UP but the other photo shows a lot of effert on the lighting and I couldn't take a shot like that. Awesome job and good luck! Jimbo/jesdiesel
  • Although I love the SOO, the UP photo gets my vote. I love the flag units! Seeing three of them on one train is a treat for Wisconsin...I'm guessing it was taken in Wisconsin?! They both deserve votes but I'm going with the UP.

  • I feel photo #1 is your winner. It's as if the engine is coming right at you instead of just standing watching it go by. Tom Hutchinson Bel Alton, Md.
  • I am going with number 2 even though it is a bit plain. I just like a picture where you can see details on the train.

  • I like to see a SOO unit in the lead, but those UP units were just to crisp and clean not too get my vote. Do you still have to pay UP 5% for that photo?!
