N scale Pacific Electric GE 44 Ton Loco

This was a undecorated Bachmann N scale GE 44 ton loco, that was repainted black. Microscale Pacific Electric and Southern Pacific decals were used for lettering and the tigerstripes. Pacific Electric was a subsidiary of Southern Pacific, and this engine would have been seen in Southern California around 1953 or so. A Bachmann N scale trolley pole (nonpowered) was added to the roof. On the prototype, this trolley pole was used to activate signals along the route, using the PE's overhead wire. Gold Metal window shades were added for both sides of the engine. I added some light weathering around the trucks and the bottom sides of the engine. It's a great little runner, and I frequently MU this loco together with a GE 70 tonner, which is also painted black with SP tigerstripes.
