Avenue H in Brooklyn NY

The four track main line of the Brighton Beach subway passes through Avenue H in Brooklyn. The apartment building comes from two photographs that I took several years ago, The wind break wall is made from a computer wire ribbon, The platform is cardboard on a 1/2" ceiling tile. The lamp posts are made from a coffee stirrer (it has two separate channels, so the lamp will not short out) with a LED, The cover is made from a thumbtack painted with the posts, the point clipped off and glued to the top of the LED. In Brooklyn the lamps are taller than the wind break wall, but I thought I would give the renters in the apartment building a break from the bright lights. The third rail is a 1/8" square basswood stock painted brown on top to represent the protection board and black on the sides to represent the shadow under the board. It rests on insulators made of glass beads from a craft store.
