One of the great things about model railroading is we get to rewrite history to "justify" models that are out of place or appear in the wrong historical context. While Alaska's Mp15s never made it to Fairbanks, it's only a slight stretch to pretend that one was transfered up to switch the Fairbanks yard. This Atlas model has wire grabs, a plow (again, fictional), and a different set of horns to more closely match the prototype. I had some trouble weathering this model. A thinned overspray of white got slightly out of control, so I'm saying that this locomotive did some duty down in the salt spray environment of Seward before being transfered to Fairbanks.
