Jaxton Junction on the McQueen Line Mining Railraod

Posted by bline1

Jaxton Junction marks the first loopback point of the line and is situated also at the point at which the scenery begins to reflect the dry, rugged western Nebraska's Wildcat Hills and Platte River valley. The junction tower and maintenance shed and complex are named for my grandson who is 3 1/2 years old.  He recognizes his name on the switch tower by the way, which was a kit from Walthers.
