This is a series of Bachmann kits that have been detailed for one of the grittier areas of my city layout under construction. The local businesses bustle here along the lower street level, while rumbling passenger trains roll by in the background on their final leg into Union Station. This area still needs sidewalks and street lighting added, as it is along the edge of one area of the layout. When it is complete, there will be many other businesses populating this part of town.
Weathering is done with chalks and drybrushing, and signage is printed on computer paper. I also keep a stockpile of paint chip sample cards on hand that I use for window shades.
