650 Ton UP Cheyenne Coal Bunker

Posted by Boomer Junction
on Friday, May 13, 2011

The kit was originally built and reviewed by Jim Hediger in Sept 1987 issue of MR.   This one was built with 6 added led lights for use on my Boomer Junction RR that provides a showcase for equipment from many US railroads of the 1950's.  It was hand painted grimy black plus cement pillars and weathered with dry powders applied with a stiff brush.  The scene is temporary for planning purposes.  It includes from the left one outgoing ash track, one incoming coal track and five service tracks which will lead to the roundhouse just as the original was in Cheyenne.
