Harbor Scene on the Aiken and Suffrin Railroad

Posted by phrank
on Thursday, March 17, 2011

Although it occupies about six square feet, the harbor (not yet named) on the Aiken and Suffrin Railroad is a busy area. Tug boats pull loaded coal barges up to dockside for offloading, and local fishermen bring their catch of the day to town, while a variety of local industries add to the area's activity. Layout construction began in the late nineties, and started by enclosing a carport to house it. The model railroad is 11'6" wide and 14'3" long and features DCC by NCE. Structures include plastic kits as well as craftsman style kits by various manufacturers.
