At the Bluemont Avenue yard in Roanoke, VA. , two RSD-12s prepare to couple onto a train of empty coal hoppers headed for East Ridge, VA. Once in East Ridge, the RSD-12s will be refueld and used as manned helpers on the 2.0% grade up State Line Ridge.
