How do you define "better"?
Neither come directly within the CNW sphere so where would be my interest? Chicago. Maybe Kansas???
But I like the ealry CSX Stealth colours... they stand out in a yellow and green consist...
...and I like running the NS GP40 I've just got long hood forward on the point becuase that is unexpected among all the low noses.
Then again... MKT is bright

Both are great, but I prefer CSX simply because they run through my town. (and maybe because they got the L&N, but that's a complete other topic )
Norfolk Southern is great too, but I just don't see them around enough to have a great appreciation for them.
Don't let my signature mislead you...

THE SOUTHERN SERVES THE SOUTH.

I have to go somewhere to see them. Darn.I would have to say NS, since they've been repainting stuff with my beloved PRR reporting marks, and they operate the old PRR mainline through Pennsylvania.

LOLOLOLOL I just knew when I saw your post Dave, that you were gonna connect the NS and or CSX to the PRR!!!!! How I wonder!
Warren Buffett bought NS and NOT CSX. That should give us all a clue!

HO and N Scale.
After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
Hummm.....let's see!
I have a leaning toward the NS, I seem to spend a lot of time modeling that road name.
But, the CSX is not to be ignored. Heck, one of their north/south lines is only 2 miles from my front door. In fact I hear the northbound freight horns around 9:00 AM every morning, and then the southbound freight horns around 5:30 PM everyday. Almost like clock work! And even on weekends and holidays too!
