Um, knock off the lying and jumping form one identity to another for starters. This isn't brain surgery, and you've been given more chances and treated with greater patience than you deserve, frankly. Not everyone here is going to be nice to you after some of the stunts you've pulled, and accepting that is part of taking responsibility for what you've done wrong. Quit whining, suck it up, and start to make amends for the damage you've done. Sneaking back in here with a completely different ID makes it look like you haven't changed at all.

That's the last thing I have to say on this issue. Far too much server space has been wasted on this already. Sigh [sigh]

I take it "rds NO.5 galloping goose" is the same person as UP Chuck?  If so... I understand the desire to start afresh with a clean(er) slate, but it engenders confusion and sometimes mistrust when you jump from one user ID to another.

You've been given a lot of good (dare I say it) fatherly advice here, and elsehwere on this forum, already.  Good luck.

Kobi,

As a kid (14 y/o) I know what it's like to want to be up in the ranks with the older guys and be able to have the great skill that they have.  This is why you probably feel the impulse to lie about your layout and trains in general.  You may not think your layout is much, but it is what you make of it.  Look you have a great layout and you should be proud of it.  This lying will get you no where, and as Tom said you will have a"lonnnnnng road ahead of you..."  I truely belive, knowing the great people on this forum that if you end your lieing, forum members will put this behind them, and an incident like this won't happen again...  But remember the first step to fix this problem is You.

Don't lie about things, just tell the truth. Just be yourself and others will make their own judgements. I don't have anything against you.

Kobi,

I think its all been thoroughly spelled out for you previously and you already know what you should do.  The line you walk will determine your outcome and your line has gotten VERY thin.  It's time to stop making excuses and start growing up, my friend. Trust is going to have to be earned and you have a lonnnnnng road ahead of you...

uhh kobi? we don't hate you. we just hate your constant lying. pretending to be famous or something will just blow up in your face. living in solitary confinement is wrong (mainly due to no video games) and you know it. what everyone wants you to do is quit lying. if you quit lying right now and make a good name for yourself by helping others with their problems, your reputation will make a complete 180. what i mean by that is a turn for the better. good luck with your new reputation!

BTW is this your last post?

NOTE: said in a soothing voice

Loathar,

You're right....but you and I ARE a role model.  Maybe that's what UPChuck needs at this point in his life.  I don't know.  It's your choice though.

How 'bout at another time or privately.  It's time to move on and not perpetuate this thread any longer...

I suppose this upchuck is a kid but there is no reason to treat him this way. I haven't been here long enough to understand but could some one show me what he has done so i can make sense of this and be done with it? I was a principal at a schoond i have dealt with teacher student problems so this isn't much different.

I think it's time that we agree to put this thread to sleep and move on.  Hopefully some good will come of it - even if it is deleted.

He won't be mad.....there wasn't any potty mouth or name calling....just a lot of disgruntled folks voicing their opinions. It appears the cause of all the strife and conflict isn't going to show himself. Perhaps we can get back to the layout now and have some fun.

There might be many reasons Upchuck was lying to impress, to get reconition, to get some friends. Maybe hs father wasnt a great role model, maybe he has no friends other than online and lying a little makes him feel better?. I only dealt with him once.

As for Kids I know many kids that love model railroading they respect everything about it and ask questions and tell little white lie but come clean after a few minutes.

I have a 12 yr old nephew who does the same thing and I catch him on the lies but then he admits it an apologizes. He also gave me some ideas that i would have never thought of. so not all kids are lik upchuck. There isnt a right way to handle this just let it run the coarse and see what happens.

Sheez!

I've been following this thread when I jump on here occasionally, & resisted from responding because I think things have gotten out of hand here IMO. But since I have a quiet Saturday night for a change, I'm here, & why not.

If you don't like this kid-ignore him! I know I'm giving him his 15 seconds of fame by replying to this (& yes, I know it's 15 min.) But if you want him to go away, that's the only way to do it IMO.

On a side note-When I was in 9th grade English class "too" many years ago, I had a wonderful teacher by the name of Mrs. Rukavina. (awesome lady, but I was scared to death of her-she had a way of giving you this hard "stare" when you screwed up. Drove a Corvette too BTW) Anyways, the dirtiest word you could say in her class was "ain't." If you did, you had to write out on paper "I will not say "ain't" in Mrs. Rukavina's class anymore" 50 times. & guess who was the 2nd one to say it-YEP! (I still remember the STARE!)

I wrote it out, & didn't do it again in her class. I still use the word, but it's funny, when I do, I STILL expect her to be standing behind me, & giving me that STARE! (25+ years later)

Wish I knew where she was now-I'd love to say hello. (& watch what I say of course!)
