Check out the public library. They usually have back issues of MR.

I'd try seeing if there are any used book stores in your area. There's a good chance a place like that would have old back issues cheaply. Of course ebay is very good and if you want that one specific issue that's what I'd recommend. Magazines usually don't sell very high or get any bids on ebay because of the weight for shipping and how common they are.

Go to www.railpub.com you can download acrobat reader from their site if you don't have it, I've bought some from them.... I highly recommend them.

Can someone point me to a website that sells back issues of Model Railroader? The magazine no longer has copies of the issue I need, which is August 1984. Thanks !
