has anyone gotten one of athearn's new CF7's and if so if you have painted one, how do you paint one with the windows already in place? Not knowing if and when they will come out with an undecorated CF7 i would like to repaint one fo their Santa Fe decorated CF7's

Hello "lou1963"
We received a Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe CF7. Like other Ready-to-Roll locomotives and cabooses, the windows are glued in. You can either mask off the windows with tape or you can cover the windows with Walthers Magic Masker (a liquid masking film listed on page 893 of the 2004 Walthers HO scale Model Railroad Reference Book).
Good luck with your project.
