I don't mean to brag

Well, actually, I kind of do mean to brag, but, I finally got a job! And it is at a train shop! Purkey's Toy Trains of Historic Sykesville, Mayland, is my first place of employment! I am so happy![:D]

Maybe you should just be paid in stuff from the shop. this way you cut out the money transaction and maybe evade tax!

gosh. I never thought of that before.

TrainFreak,

That's awsome! You'll learn alot from both your fellow employees and customers that have been around the hobby for some time. I envy you! Enjoy and don't spend your paycheck all in one place - [:)]

Beware of job and hobby burnout. If you are around them all the time
without variety, you may grow tired of seeing them.

eastcoast has a point. There are times I get so fed up with my custom paint shop, nothing in there gets done for a week, But I am a model train adict and cant resist the temptation to stay out of the workshop and tinker with things very long. Thank god my Girlfriend is to, or we might not ever see eachother [8D][8D][8D]

Congrats. Purkeys is a great store. In there on occasion. And the best part is, when the trains roll through Sykesville, you can step right out the front door and watch them!

I work in Columbia so I pass sykesville 2x a day. I only go into the store though when I have money to spend. I'm not very good at window shopping without spending money on trains that I really can't afford. . . . .

wish my job was like that. i work at a pizza place and i'm not working enough to pay for my car and for CDs,gas, and train stuff. i also want to get a laptop over Christmas break so i need to get money somehow fast to make a down payment. i'll probably have to cut back on stuff or ask for a lot of money for Christmas. like $200 for a laptop and the show i'll be going to at the end of January.

have fun spending a lot of money at your place of work. sounds like a sweet job.
