I was thinking about getting some of these but have not seen them in person. Anyone of you have any comments to share about these switch stands by Details West and maybe some photos? Also what is the difference between the 2 offered? 914 #1 and 915 #2? Are they different sizes?
Thanks for the input and or reviews.
Mark
I've thrown away the package now, but I believe these are the 915's. The 914's are shorter; both come with diamond and round targets.
The Details West switch stands are great -- I highly recommend them. Here's a closeup shot of one from a scene on my Siskiyou Line layout (SS-915):

I've used them, too. And I've made them moveable.

Wow,
Great photos and info, thanks again. Do they come in just black plastic and you have to paint them and the targets red or yellow?

Mark:
They are unpainted soft metal castings with a brass wire central rod. You have to clean off the flash, then assemble them with superglue, and paint them. Very sturdy little suckers, but it takes a bit of fiddling to get them built and painted. With a bit of care, the target and central rod will turn, so it's possible for you to make them turn when the turnout is thrown.
