Greetings,

Any of you out there own a Old Time Consolidation 2-8-0?

How do they run?

I see them on Ebay all the time for a good price.

They run very poor. The motor is basically a slot car motor and it is mounted in the tender and drivers the tender wheels and pushes the actual engine. I bought one and found this out the hard way!

The one I have runs very well, it was made in Brazil. It is tender drive.

It is a pretty good model of a 1890-1900 Baldwin, except the tender is on the larger size, and the drive is not well hidden.

Check Trainworld, they had better than typical ebay pricing on them.
