Nice!

I would share mine, but I haven't actually repainted any units yet. It's going to be dark blue with a yellow stripe and lettering.

Nice concept scheme for GN units there!!!  I would love t' see Athearn do a GP50 and 60, and an SD40-2 in GN's BSB.

Doing an SD70MAC in NP would be great also.
Yeah!! [yeah]

I was looking at the Tower 55 offerings in what they call their "classic concept series". They are neat, but I just don't see them being big sellers. It really seems like a niche thing to me.

I've always wondered how an Erie-Lackawanna scheme would look on a modern loco.  Maybe in a slightly updated form?

There was a gentleman at the Batavia, NY train show a couple of years ago who painted some fantasy schemes on modern stuff. I do not recal which engines he used, but he did a Lehigh Valley early diesel scheme and a Erie lackawanna Grey & Marone along with some others. They were done on SD70 style engines. They looked real good. I have a couiple of pictures but, I can not seem to locate them.

I did some D&H lightning stripes on some spectrum B23-7's a few years back. I did not know they never had any. I sold them a couple of years ago and got more for them than I thought I would. I do want to paint up a Lehigh Valley in a fantasy Bicentennial scheme to go with their caboose. I would like to think that they maybe had plans to do one but never got around to doing it before the great merger.

Actually, I just remembered that I painted a couple of SD90's for Dave Francis a few years back.

I plan to build a set of these in 1/29 scale:

and on the "it could actually happen" side, I would love to see Susquehanna paint one of their big 6-axle Alcos into their yellowjacket scheme:

Fantasy paint schemes
Posted by SOU Fan on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 9:33 AM

What paint schemes would you like to see.  I am trying to figure out what people would like to see on a modern day loco.

I myself am a Southern fanatic.  I would post a link to my auction but I would get in trouble.Sad [:(]
